Foster Application

Thank you so much for considering becoming a foster home! Just a quick note, we do ask that foster homes be within driving distance of the Rescue Ranch to be able to attend vet appointments in Madison, GA. We do occasionally make exceptions for those specifically seeking to be a “Forever Foster” to dogs that are not able to be adopted when we can connect with a vet local to you.

  1. Looking forward to getting started in the group. Will pass along info to others I know that may want to foster.

  2. Can you tell me a little more about how being a foster works? We adopted Sadie through BTRET and it was the RR ladies that did our home inspection. How would I know if being a foster is right for us? You have your hands full and I want to help but I’m not sure whether fostering is a good fit or not.

    • Hey Lisa,
This is Courtney. I remember you. 🙂 When you become an approved foster you fill out a form asking lots of questions about what would be a good fit for you. You will get emails from our foster coordinator about who needs foster homes that might fit for you. If one seems to be a good fit, you start fostering. If something changes and you can’t foster the dog you have or it turns out to not be a good fit, we’ll move foster homes. We don’t want you stuck with a dog that doesn’t work for your family, although we do ask for a couple days to shuffle things around. 🙂
