Hi Future Family!

My name is Buddy and I found myself needing a new home at 10 years old. The only mom I had ever known had to go into a nursing home because of Alzheimer’s Disease at 93. Before that, I lived with her since I was 6 weeks old. I have lived with other dogs, cats, kids, and grandkids. I was her very best Buddy and she told me every day.

When the rescue lady first met me, I was really excited to meet her. I brought her all my toys and played fetch and showed her my favorite chew bone. Then I hopped right in the car with her to go for a ride. But, I was little confused when we didn’t go back to my mom’s house. I’ve been a little sad and won’t play with my toys because I’m missing my mom. I mostly just want to rest on my bed and wait to go home.

I’m looking for a forever family that will help me learn to play again. I really love my toys and bones and it breaks my foster mom’s heart that I have been so sad lately. My forever family should have a fenced in yard, like to play, want to pet me a lot and let me know I’m going to be ok. I promise I will love you so much and I’ll be playful again soon. I have great house and crate manners. I walk really nicely on a leash too.  – Love, Buddy
